Braddell Heights II Contest

I've always enjoyed going over to Braddell Heights II Toastmasters Club

for their meetings. For one reason: I feel immensely appreciated by the

members!

Yes, BH II provides such a warm and welcoming atmosphere that every

time the meeting ends, I feel as if I have learnt something useful. Which

inevitably means that I always unashamedly ask if I could attend their

next meeting!

So when they invited me over as a contest coordinator two weeks ago, I was

delighted and immediately agreed to come over!

The contest was a very intense affair with the club fielding speakers who

can be compared to public speaking super stars. I sat back in my chair

snapping photos of the speakers (with no flash of course!) and lapping up

their creatively-inspired speeches!

What about their contest preparations? Top-notch.

From the reception, to the actual contest, to the clean-up operations, it was

all perfectly planned and efficiently executed. I like the way the club stationed

a member outside the venue to personally welcome guests and handle the

registration. The clean-up was an equally whirlwind affair which saw the

members working up a frenzy shifting in the tables and chairs back into the
room and making sure that the room returned to its pristine affair.

Simply marvellous!

I went home that day laden with knowledge and tons of inspiration for the

upcoming Division Contest that I will be organizing soon.
